I just found out that my series “T13TEEN GIRLS” has won a National Prize PDN Magazine’s “Faces” Competition. “TH13TEEN GIRLS” is a portrait series of 13 thirteen-year-old girls, shot and composed analogously, and printed at 5′ x 3′. “Thirteen is a pivotal time for a girl, expecially today in America,” Young says. “The images offer an up-close perspective to force the viewer to really see the person in front of them.”
